I find that if I have a team with a mobile QB I never lose. If you know how to utilize a mobile QB on the game you should never lose.

hail mary against ne1 that sux it always works

Running a Hail Mary over and over because someone can't defend it would be no fun. I like to try and keep the game as realistic as possible. It is OK to throw deep every now and again, but not over and over becasue someone "sux".

Mobile quarterbacks always add that extra element to defending...but it's not totally unstoppable.

I agree- you gotta hope your secondary plays great though-

to defend a scrambler: I just have one of my linebackers shadow him every play- which take my attn. away from everything else. I'm also less likely to blitz a scambler, giving him all day long to toss it up.

Really tough to defend.

If the person you are playing is using a spy on your QB all you have to do is roll out and send a receiver to the place the LB/DB used to be. If they don't use a spy then they will pay the price if I can't find someone open or I get pressured out of the pocket. Throw in the option here and there and still pound away with the RB and it is impossible to defend.

I want to start off by saying Orange Empire has the best strategy i've ever seen for the Strong formation! Yeah its kind of Cheezy, but I hardly ever play with the vols. I started a dynasty and built a playbook and changed a couple of audibles to be more similar to Orange Empires. (Im a Spread Offensive type) I went into my first game with the vols, with my AI settings untouched and gameplay on heisman, and I always play on 4 min's a quarter.

Im somewhat a noob when it comes down to coverages, and certain formations, for example like the pistol, i have no clue how to run it succesfuly. So I had to adjust to this new style of play.

I had the WR like orange empire said in the FB postion for the Strong Normal, ran the RB crosses. It ran great! When the defensive would creep back a little, i would run em' down with a I-form counter with the right side WR moved over to the left like Orange Empire said. It worked unstopable, left me to a great victory over my first victim California.

Cal: 13
Tenn: 50

With the player of the game, being HB #27 17 carries, 155 yds, 5 TD, 2 rec, 15 yds.

I would recommend anyone to try this, it worked great for me. Im not a big time noob, I know how to run with the HB's good, and how to run option and how to make a QB scamble for his life. But i've never seen something work this effectively.

Also, Orange Empire's strategy on putting the fastest CB on the Dime Blitz worked great! Helped me get a few sacks, I think we had 7 sacks in the game!

Thanks for the help Orange Empire, maybe i can grab a NC at the heisman level!

There is so much that you can do with the game, it is crazy.

The main thing is match-ups and audibles.

I someone thinks it is cheezy with a wide receiver in at full-back, move either Brown or Cottam to full-back. (This is what I do.)

Also, install the double tight end formation from Ace.

I think it is the first running play that comes up on the left, sorry I forget the names, put your #1 tight end in motion and adjust your blocking scheme to the left. You should get 6-8 yards a carry.

Also, from the private message, it is a four wide shotgun formation and I believe it is called wheels?

Whatever it is, your #3 and #4 receiver cross behind your #1 and #2 and they are isolated on the 3rd and 4th corner. It can be a nasty play.

Also, if you want to put up crazy defensive numbers with Heffney run the Dime with three defensive lineman and choose the safety blitz. Align your d-line to right and go to bump and run and bring the safeties up. Heff should get around 10 tackles a game.

Honestly, I find myself enjoying playing the AI more than humans...as long as institute the "house rules" and don't take advantage of the AI (money plays, playing players out of position, etc).

I prefer an opponent at least try to use a running game. Too often I find playing another person that they're pass/run ratio is horrible.

If I can find someone to play that actually uses some strategy instead of the concept of "throw deep to my best receiver and often", then I'm more than happy to play them.

I know what you mean. I hate the type of players that use no strategy whatsoever and lob up a deep ball relentlessly. Thats why my favorite type of offense to run online is the option. The only time I think about passing is when I get my opponent thinking about the run, then I will open up and try to catch them off guard with a pass. If you know what your doing, this type of style can be extremely hard to stop.

Yes, you can actually run playaction passes against a heavy blitzer in 08. This was simply impossible in previous games. I dig it:clapping:
