I’m holding back on most comments about the basketball season until after the post season. Agree there are some concerns presently, however how many times in the Barnes era have we dominated regular season, got to no 1 more than once, won the SEC regular season and won SEC tournament, just to fizzle out in the NCAA tournament when it really counts. My hope is that something miraculous will happen and we will make a strong run in the tournament. I know many will strongly disagree that we have a chance to even get to the second weekend, possibly so, but one can hope we suck now and play lights out in March.

we have never done this. It's not a reasonable expectation, tbh.

Only one teams wins it anyway. I certainly would like to see a FF soon. While the teams you just mentioned have all been to a FF, none of them have come close our sustained success as a program

Play the freshmen as much as possible. Help build for next year with a solid foundation of very good players. Pay them to keep them. Don’t throw in the towel yet, but flipping an entire roster and expecting to get to the final 4 is not realistic.

I must have forgotten that Final Four Pearl got us to with his "style".

Oh that's right, you probably go off to fantasyland where Pearl stayed and we won 5 National Championships and act like that's any kind of proof, the same fantasyland where Kiffin turned us into Alabama.

I never said Pearl got us to a final four jerk. I said Barnes style isnt going to get us there without some changes. Man you guys that just want to argue will find any reason to spout off at the mouth.

So what's your point of pining for Pearl's style if you aren't strongly implying you think Pearl's "style" will get us to a Final Four over Barnes; pointing out that Pearl didn't kinda destroys your narrative but please continue in your feelings.

Having more than one point guard. Having multiple scoring guards. Not just focusing on defense first. And you cant tell me you dont see it as a deficiency.

Little birdie told me Pearl retired because he knew Barnes hanging it up this year, so he would be unattached when the job came open.....;)
