Will the Vols be guilty of a let-down against Georgia, after a big win against the Gators last week?
I sure hope not, as the Vols are now in control of their own destiny.
Go Vols

I'm hoping that with the Senior Leadership of this Team 120...and what MOST of them have been through the last couple years...a "hangover" is not in the cards.

Possibly a trap game. We will see if we are locked in

We certainly won't over look them. I do expect Georgia to play better than they did last week, so I expect a pretty tight game.

Ahh it's the most obvious thing for all these pundits to say. Usually doesn't happen though when everybody calls for the same thing.

I for one think we will be fine. I do how ever think we get off to a slow start again. We got to get out of that hopefully I'm wrong and we come out and punch UGA right in the kisser.

I struggle with this notion. You win the biggest game in years.... and have a let down?

That to me is like saying that after a great year your boss gives you a raise and you come in the next day unmotivated.

IMHO, UF should have been a HUGE confidence game for these guys and especially the ones that had their hearts ripped from their chests last year.

So reasonable question for those of you fearing a let down.... when you've had a personal performance that gave you a big confidence boost.... does it make you perform worse?

Today is the day to start early because it isn't an option to start slow the next two games.

About the only guy who should have come out of the UF issue with lingering confidence issues is Martin. Feel really bad for that guy. He just kept getting sucked up.

He needs to get his head in the right place

No!

App St. - 1st game. B@B next.
V.Tech - 150,000 at a race track, game day there, lot of crap going on for a football game.
Ohio - Florida next.
Florida - Nuff said
Georgia - All the "novelty" stuff over. Football Time!

I believe it.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

There's a lot I stuff that could happen, but overlooking Ga ain't one of em. They are a good SEC team and we are playing at their house. No way we don't prepare for the game.

I'm glad they got problems and I'm glad we are a stacked team. Ga could lose out and it wouldn't bother me one bit, same goes for the gators.

Next week we will take the belt from A&M( if they get by SC,they will, SC is pitiful) and then put a beat down on bama.

Go Vols!

This "should" be the answer. It's the first time in 11 years Tennessee has controlled its destiny after the Florida game. The players and coaches have to be able to recognize that opportunity and perform at a high level... and we aren't a young team anymore.

I think this team is mature enough to recognize what's at stake. Huge game and they will be locked in I'm sure..

Usually those hangover games come for teams that beat an opponent that they shouldn't beat. We have more talent than UF, and finally showed it in the 2nd half.

These comments remind me of the 82 Vols where Bama had us out-talented, but we beat the Bear in his last season...Johnny had the team jumping off of mattresses or something of the sort to get them off of "cloud 9".

I think this team knows what's at stake, and won't be guilty of a letdown. I HOPE that now that they have that gator off of their backs, they are relaxed enough to just play their game and let the talent win the game.

For crying out loud....would you Negative Nancy's please STOP with the "trap game", "hangover", "let down", "over looking", etc crap?

A TRUE Vol fan expects the WIN every freakin game instead of biting our nails and hiding under the bed on game day.

Enjoy the ride and stop playing the "what if" game!! :thud:

I have heard about a million ppl say there will. E a hangover. Radio, TV, everywhere. For that reason is why I don't think there will be. It's too easy of a narrative.

It's very possible it could happen. Stuff like you're talking about happens all the time.

This is funny. Is it being a "TRUE" fan or NOT being realistic or practical?

Yeah it's easy but if we did lose or win ugly, that will be the #1 excuse given, that it was a hangover/trap game.

Maybe it will be, maybe it won't, but I agree it's become a cliche.
