Poor Buccaneer fans in denial

They should feel lucky since we didn't snatch their HC, or that's what they really want us to do?

Yeah I read it on espn.com that Monte Kiffin will be joining the Tennessee Staff. I want to know who will be the Offense Coor.?

Monte will be missed. My question is how is a 68 year old going to do in recruiting? I knew the day would come very soon when Kiffen was going to leave the Bucs. I am glad we are doing so well this season and might send him off with a good playoff run and a chance at the SB.

I'm sure he can do very well considering his resume - he can sell that to players... but does he even have to recruit? Did Chavis recruit?

I truly think that Monte will do some recruiting but not a lot. I think he'll be a "closer" of sorts for defensive players. If guys are unsure about coming to UT, I think Monte will visit them to seal the deal. I also have heard that he's going to make around $1 million a year from UT.

He has never needed to recruit or at least not in a while. I think our D will be good but I just don't know if a 68 year old is ready to be on the same level as 17-18 year olds. My god, that is a 60 year gap there.

Monte prob won't worry too much about recruiting. If we have Coach O on staff, he wouldn't need to.

Can we afford both and why would Coach O be under Kiffen? I thought if O came here he was going to be the Def Coord.?

I have the same thoughts as you. I'm not really sure what O is doing on the Saints staff but I'm not totally convinced he would come here to be dline coach and recruiting coordinator until Monte retires. Just speculating, which I don't often like to do.

50 year gap actually, but I get your point. Still, if I wanted to get into the NFL on defense, I can't think of anyone better to help me do the things I needed to get there.
