Tennessee not ranked. Vols are 1 spot out of #30 in the Collegiate Baseball poll.

Vanderbilt has fallen out.

no teams has done more this season than Stanford. Even though they hosted both Vanderbilt and Texas, the sweep of both is very impressive.

Texas went 0-4 last week. Vanderbilt 1-3 and is 1-6 overall. Baseball America has LSU WAY too high after a miserable week against mediocre competition.

I have marked Rice and Texas in RED. I do not see any other out-of-conference foes ranked right now.

I believe a 3-1 week gets Tennessee ranked in all polls. A 4-0 Week gets the Vols ranked in the Top-20 in any poll that's paying attention.

Does Perfect Game have a poll? I really like Kendall Rogers.

Kendall and Aaron Fitt are the two main guys in college baseball coverage, but perfect game's rankings are rarely referenced. They have a top 50. We aren't in it. Having said that, he does mention us in his chat today.

"There's no doubt that Dave Serrano has the Volunteers playing an excellent brand of baseball right now. Some will be not so happy that I didn't have the Vols in my Top 50 this week, but I want to get a better look at them this weekend in Houston. Once that happen, and if they play well, I'd look for an entrance and a HUGE jump into the rankings. With that said, I've heard Drew Steckenrider has thrown well and his velo is pretty solid, but that staff as a whole has improved, allowing just six runs the entire weekend against a decent Seton Hall club." -Kendall Rogers PG

I do not include PG because I don't thinks it's a poll. Just one or two guys' opinions.

there really are too may polls out there and there are several polls (some that I do include even) that are insanely inaccurate and favor certain regions or teams.

by the way, please recall in preseason that I scoffed at the preseason prognostications about St. Johns and their high rankings.

St Johns is 2-5

Michigan State L 11-4 (@Tampa/St. Pete)
Minnesota W 6-1 (@Tampa/St. Pete)
Illinois L 9-4 (@Tampa/St. Pete)
@Texas Tech L 4-1
Northern Illinois W 11-9 (@Lubbock)
@Texas Tech L 5-2

So SJU is losing to southern and northern teams.
