the poll is so fickle. if michigan had hit the field goal, they would have dropped 2 spots, but missing it drop out of the poll. it seems the poll is so subjective.

if you LOSE, you get more punishment
than when you WIN with little reward.

By the way the preseason poll should not have any value.

Remember, POLLS are peoples opinions...they are NOT based on any facts....

...Tournaments are FACTS, regardless of opinions.

Why did we drop at all? I thought that after last year's blowout it was decided among the genious analysts that the first game of the year doesn't actually count. :)

So beating on the weak teams gets you rewarded. Going on the road and being in the game at the beginning of the fourth quarter gets you knocked down 9 spots?

The polls at this time of year can bite me. Just concerned about USM at the present time....

preseason polls make money and build hype, it has no value on the field, doesn't really even motivate players, coaches most definitely play the preseason polls down
