Can't believe this dude was hired over these coaches:

Miles, Leach, Sumlin or Kiffin

Just purely the laughing stock of college football.

Sumlin said NO, Kiffin & gruden had the same chance 0%

Leach is great except for the fact his teams tend to suck at rushing the ball & playing defense.

Don't think Miles would be a fit

Kiffin and Leach never had a shot with these boosters and/ or Admin. Sumlin is good buds with Botch so he wasn't coming either. Not sure what happened to Les.

My top 3:
1. Les/ Tee combo
2. Brohm
3. A star coordinator (Pruitt was far and away the best):good!:

Some of y'all just like to complain I've learned. If you don't like the hire (and don't wanna support it), I'm sure Vandy could use some help filling up that stadium next fall! :hi:

I voted yes. And though it's something I'll have to live with, I'm not happy that he isn't all in starting today.

I'm not questioning or challenging you. Is there any article or anything out there about potential staff choices? I'm curious

Can you produce evidence that any of the names you mentioned were officially interviewed, let alone offered? Even the potential Leach deal from the "gone rogue" Currie is only rumored and not officially confirmed by either side, at least from what I've seen and read.

EDIT: And I'm not talking about folks having said they aren't interested in the Tennessee job. I mean official interviews and extended offers that were declined.

I really think he will get it done. Will take 2 or 3 years but he is putting his career on the line here. he can not risk failure

Let's just be honest for one minute, Mullen would have been the better hire, by far... Another loss to Florida

Wouldn't he be the first that coached under Saban and then beat him as HC? If so that's a lot of motivation (and confidence to try.)

I live in gatorland FL and work in retail and I haven't heard a gators fan be excited about Mullen yet (and I see a lot of Gators fans daily).

(Not saying they are right or wrong, just what I observe daily at work in the heart of the swamp..)

Not really. A lot of things to come, like filling out the staff. But will support it for now, what choice is there?
