When Butch first got here, he said we were gonna have a Tennessee swagger. Right. He's all coach speak. Where is that swagger? Butch is to be held accountable. He needs to be held accountable for hiring his best friend too. DeBore is as bad as it gets.

That's true. But we're the first 3-0 team in the conference, right?

I get it, you are trying to be positive, like I was last year before the debacle against Florida....I am trying a different tactic this year. until you live down here in gaturd country and have to listen to their shiz every year, don't talk to me.

How many times does it need to be said. This is Jones offense, DeBord is just his whipping boy, if we have a bad year he'll be a scapegoat just like Randy Sanders was for CPF

I like how the two real contributors to our struggles aren't listed: the o-line and dobbs.

Dobbs still can't pass deep. If he could, we win this one by 21+

This o-line isn't helping either - they are awful. I think Dobbs' throwing issues are a bigger deal... But o-line play is a very close second.

We'll see next week- you know Butch and co have dialed up some plays for the gators - if we can't beat'em, we'll all be looking back and wondering why Butch didn't put in for any earlier.

Butch is owner of all. Good and Bad. He has a big opportunity next week to own something GREAT!
Bottom line we are 3-0.....

Coaching. The whole day went to hell as soon as we face masked on a punt return. No reason for that...

We had just scored, they had just gone 3 and out...you have to tell your kids what to do in big time situations.

Butch and Co. did not.

That's not coaching....it's a bunch of HYPE-believin', spoiled-brat, fit-throwing WHINERS masquerading as FB players on our team....and it begins with leadership from within the PLAYERS.....

It's an attitude that says--"Oh, I'll play hard as long as everything goes my way....whaaaa.....whaaa....whaaaa...."

It's truly disappointing because I thought this bunch was a lot better than that.....

Hurd truly plays all-out every time he touches the ball....Abernathy, O'brien....and maybe a few others appear to play like that....

Dobbs, for being so intelligent, is STILL not smart enough to throw the ball away on a rollout when he gets pressure in his face and takes a sack.....

IF He's gonna be the CEO....then the Buck stops on his DESK....He's got it in him, but he's extremely inconsistent.....

It looks very bad....but we truly won't know anything about this team until next Saturday.

GO VOLS!

This poster, like many, misses the supremely important player development aspect of coaching.

I don't think Jones has earned the right to have a whipping boy. He had a golden opportunity to hire a top guy and Butched it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong....but that face mask BEFORE the punt (TK Jr.) gave the Boobcats that ball back and Sutton was hurt on that same series. A face mask on a punt....come on!!! :thud:

It's obviously the fans for not doing enough to nurture the feelings and delicate psyches of the players and coaches based on some of the threads and comments today.

Just saw this. I'm sorry you live in Florida. Alabama is not much better.

Since Butch is the head coach, the blame will fall on him. However, no coach in the world would coach the OL to not block. He has to be thinking, WTH happened to these guys.

Butch Jones,

1) because of his hiring the 3 stooges of offense, Debord, Azzani, and Mahoney, and

2) because he refuses to change this high school, MAC conference offense he's married to.
