The new OC will be hired quickly. No way they try to finish this class without one in place.

This will be done quick...if it's not already. Debord was scheduled, which means they've got someone dialed in.

If a new AD is not in place will Butch be allowed to make a OC hire? If so will Hart be over the contract negotiations?

In a previous thread, I think UT will hire a new AD before a new OC or strength & conditioning coach.......

Doubtful, because the new chancellor wants to wait on the AD hire until she's here full time. Which would be March. NO WAY Butch waits that long on a S&C coach. The offseason S&C program starts in a week or so. You have to have one in place before then

Only a week away from the players being back and hitting their offseason training so our S&C coach should be in place by then.

I also believe our new OC is already a verbal commit, just needs AD Hart to get the paperwork done to get him signed, the presser done and get him busy recruiting.

Would be a really DUMB move to wait long on the new OC presser because that could hurt recruiting bad, or help us close well depending on who it is.

They had better have an OC named prior to NCD. They need to have one prior to the NC game on Monday.

I would think it more likely we lose some if we don't have someone, especially with the amount of time till NSD.

Not worried. We have been down this road before. It just broke yesterday that Debord was going. No need to give each other wedgies over it.

Butch waiting till Monday Night to announce. That way it will be scrolling at the bottom of the screen during National Championship game. Hopefully it's somebody that we can all be excited about. You'll know how much Butch likes the free pub. GBO!
