Have you completely given up on the season based on your own personal preseason predictions?

I thought this was a 7/8 win team and I thought UT would beat neither OK or FL.

I haven't given up on the season. I guess my expectations are looking to being close to spot on. Called last season too.

So what say you?

No. 8-4 with a bowl win will still be pretty good. Beat Arkansas and Mizzou and everyone from last season and we are still progressing.

Can't answer until I see us vs Arky.

If we win, all is not lost quite yet. If we lose, we are done.

Yes and no. I'll watch, but losses to Bama, Georgia, Mizzou, and either Kentucky/Arkansas are coming.

I'll hope Butch gets his head outta his press clippings. But Butch will not change. He's in over his head.

Define GIVE UP?
Crawl in a hole and turn off tv on Sat?
Become a Vandy Fan?
Sell tickets and mow yard on Sat?
Quit posting on VN?
Stop listening to Sports Talk Radio?
Give all my orange clothes to goodwill?
Tell my grand kids to play soccer not football?
Give up my tail gate spot?
Never ever sing Rocky Top?

you never know what a bunch of college kids will do, so you can't give up on the season. I have basically given up on our coach, he's not going to learn anything new now.

Since you've given up, will you continue to post?

I already edited it to say yes and no.

I have given up any hope of this staff actually beating a relevant rival.

I will watch, as always.

And I'll post on here, if nothing else to watch people like you complain about it. Being a message board and all.

I'm glad you haven't given up completely. Good for you.

Where have I complained about your posting? I'm trying to be a decent guy for a change. Don't ruin it for me.

I don't think I was even being terribly ugly.

Just poking a little fun about my postings.

But I'll gladly apologize if my response wasn't equal to your post.

My bad, McDad

I have followed Tennessee football since 1952, and I have never given up on a season..... not even the 1958 season when we failed to get even a single first down against Auburn and lost to Chattanooga. I did not give up.

No worries, man. I thought you had me confused with another charming person.
We all want the same thing, my friend.

No. If we can go 8-4 I won't be ecstatic, but I won't call for Butch's head.

On talent alone we should beat everyone on paper except Bama and UGA, and it should be a close game with UGA in Neyland. That's what I'm looking for.

I'm honestly not sure that we'll win a SEC game with the current style and approach to coaching.

We should beat N. Texas and maybe Vandy. I don't see us winning anything else. If coaching improves we might take Kentucky and South Carolina. Otherwise, no bowl.

Need to see the coaching wheels not fall off in the second half against a ranked opponent
