After leading Tennessee to its first season-opening series sweep since 2004 with a trio of three-hit performances, junior outfielder P.J. Polk has been named the first Southeastern Conference Player of the Week of the 2010 campaign. The Murfreesboro, Tenn., native was 9-for-12 on the weekend, good for a stellar .750 batting average.

He deserved it, played a great weekend of baseball! Also with out his bat i don't think they would have got the win Saturday.
