Read this in an article today, and thought it was impressive:

Per Opta Stats, Milicic became the first player in the NBA, WNBA, or division I men's or women's basketball in at least the last 25 years to eclipse the following marks in a single game: 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals, 75% field goal percentage, 50% three-point percentage, and 75% free throw percentage.

I’ve been biting my tongue, but I can’t help it any longer - I told you guys when he committed to the Vols that this was coming.
What? One big game or he was going to do that kind of thing consistently?
I'm impressed as hell with his last game ( and extremely optimistic he does it again), but besides rebounding that's not what he's been giving us this season, bro.

His last game certainly hasn't been the norm, but he's shown flashes of high level offense and constant high level defense and rebounding. He seems to be evolving offensively as to his confidence in being more aggressive. With more players contributing on offense, it triggers a more aggressive approach with every player individually

I will be, and like I said I hope like hell he gets even close to what he did last night the rest of the season.
That said, the reason you've been biting your tongue all year is because the Milkman hasn't given you a game like this to sing his praises.
Let's see him at least start knocking down some 3's consistently before we fire the ole hype train back up , shall we?

If he has turned the corner it will most likely be because Barnes has finally got the players to buy into taking it to the basket/getting into the paint.
Like Barnes said in the post presser, he'll be impressed and it will open things up for everyone when the team as a whole starts hitting those little shots close to/at the basket. Additionally, if Igor can consistently hit the 3 it will allow us to play a successful stretch 4 on offense.
🤞On all the above!

Exactly….he’s clearly a good shooter and has proved it in the past. Rick has always said as much. Hopefully he can hit with more consistentency because it makes us a different club. Actually I don’t remember a Vol having that kind of complete game Igor had in many years…

That was a tournament winning game. If we somehow make it to the final 4 or beyond it will take a big game like that from Igor for us to win a Natty. Not sure if he can do it again, but the good news is we now at least know he's capable of it.

Not sure what’s triggered you to post this, but Igor’s play has been mostly complimented on this forum outside of a few miserable guys who are negative about everything. I think it’s been easy to see though that we’ve not been getting his best possible results with his poor 3 point shooting percentage and too many misses at the rim. I’ve posted that for us to reach our potential, Igor has to find his outside shot and it has been good the last 2-3 games. Hopefully he’s peaking at the perfect time for a deep run in March!

Yeah I agree. But clearly Igor CAN do it…let’s hope he continues on this hot shooting. So unbelievably efficient and effective against Mizz. He’s got all the metrics to be great for sure. It’ll be fun down the stretch!

The cold, hard truth is that I am probably much too defensive of Igor. I feel like we “raised” him here at Charlotte, and even though he earned the right to move on to much, much bigger and better things (and we really are thrilled for him) when folks are critical of him I just don’t like it, even when in my heart I know it’s warranted. It just feels like some folks on here don’t appreciate what they have in him…a player who is overall as solid as a rock, yet has some “off” nights…which is something that we saw consistently in him over a 2 year period while he was at Charlotte.

So there you go. Now I feel better! 😂
