I am just an average joe fan like you. I go to the games, donate to the school, buy my tickets, and wear the orange and white to support the football team.

However, enough is enough. Please sign my petition to show Mike Hamilton that we demand a better product for our financial and emotional investment. I plan to deliver this on campus myself. Please pass this along and help me sticky this post as well. Thank you.

No problem. Didn't expect a warm welcome. Many like me are still feeling the hangover from yesterday.

I guess I should have just waited to post this after a win, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I don't know guys... if this petition shows up on Mike Hamilton's desk, he won't have any other choice but to fire THFCATUTK. :crazy:

I was really just messing with you on the choice of your username. Why would you want to use that one when you know it could polarize a lot of people?

You're right. Mike Hamilton will probably never read this, but if enough stink is made and enough people sign, he won't have to read it because he will have already heard about it.

sadly i'm not even hungover. i'm not happy with the performance, i am sure it wont end up like last year, but i just feel like this is where we are right now. mediocre. i still love the team, i will still go to games because i like to go to football games. simple as that.
(my little brother's high school football team isnt very good and gets creamed by the good teams but i go to watch football, i just do. i obviously like to watch him play, but i'm saying as far as rooting for the team...) same thing with our vols, my tickets are paid for, so i'll be there. if they weren't paid for i'd go and get free tickets from scalpers.
but i dont know what to call it. i'm facing the reality that we are mediocre. i'm still a fan, always loyal, i will still represent and wear orange proudly. thats just who i am...
proud to be a vol, we just dont have much to be happy about in football this year...
lets talk basketball !!!

I used to work for the Democratic Party here in Tennessee and actually worked in the state legislature after college. Ever heard of a blue Dog Democrat? That would be a good description of my political beliefs. But, I still consider myself a Democrat (though I have voted for many Republicans).

Why would a company hosting an online petition use a name like artifice or any other term to denote trickery?

The only problem with the petition is you will be delivering it to the wrong person. You need to deliver it to the Boosters. Hamilton is a Yes man and that is it. Until the boosters with the big money get their belly full of Fulmer, then nothing will happen. They tell Hamilton to extend his contract. They tell Hamilton to give him a raise. They also tell Hamilton to put the 8 win clause in his contract because they are big buddies with Fulmer and they are protecting him by doing this.

I give you credit for trying, but Hamilton will not make the decision. It will be made for him and he will only deliver the news and make the announcement, when he is told to.

If you don't feel safe about it, don't sign. However, you will find if you wikipedia this particular site, you will see that it is well known and respected among the "online petition" websites.

But, I guess some people can't be persuaded no matter what...similar to Mike Hamilton.
