If the Vols draw Louisville for a bowl, they'll have nearly a thousand yard game and score 75 points, ugh

Not if Lamar Jackson throws so many interceptions.... But that would require our secondary to actually make plays and get interceptions, so yeah we'd be pretty SOL.

I think Louisville vs TN would be a great matchup. Would love to see the reactions on here when Butch beats Petrino.

We are going to get a middle of the road big 10 team that we will steamroll and give the masses false hope of a good season

At this point our only hope is to play a team that is not pass heavy... we will also hopefully have an interim coach for the game since Butch will be gone.

I still laugh out loud at some of the folks on here that were excited about the chance to play in the Sugar Bowl, not seeing how pathetic our secondary has been all season and how bad we would have gotten torched on a national stage....

Our run defense is worse than our pass defense. But I get your general point.

Volnation if that happened:

Georgia Tech WIN
INDIANA STATE WIN
Florida WIN
UMASS WIN
GEORGIA WIN
SOUTH CAROLINA WIN
Alabama WIN
Kentucky WIN
SOUTHERN MISS WIN
Missouri WIN
LSU WIN
VANDERBILT WIN

12-0 and beat Alabama again in the SEC championship game.

Except Butch isn't leaving.

It likely won't happen though. There will be only two ACC teams ranked higher than them, so with the way the bowl selections will probably play out, it's doubtful they fall further than the Citrus Bowl; we likely won't be at that level this year.

(In the years when there isn't an SEC team ranked high enough and the Orange Bowl has to take a Big Ten team, the Citrus Bowl's contract says it has to host an SEC v ACC matchup instead of inviting a Big 10 team.)

At this point, why do you care? Root for Jones to be as exposed as possible so we can get a competent head coach.
