The only reason we lost this game is because prior to Eric throwing the interception that they returned for a touchdown, he should have never had the option giving unto him by Cutcliffe. When you are down that close to the other teams endzone, you run the ball. EA should have never had the option to pass on that 3rd down. Pretty simple really.

Or he could have thrown it to the wide open Austin Rogers going over the middle of the field for a first down... just a thought.

Uhm, he still made a horrible decision. Just because you're put into a situation that maybe you shouldn't be doesn't give you a free pass to make a terrible decision.

Yup, its on Ainge....take the reads and put it where the receiver has a chance!

I think most anyone who was wataching that play on a widescreeen set felt a strange curiosity when they saw that the DB on the wideout was giving a cushion beyond the first down line, which then turned to a sense of dread when EA progressed to that reciever. I think the LSU defense suckered him. I credit Pellini and his DBs for laying a perfect trap. A Sr. QB in the SEC should've known better, but what's done is done.

It didn't help that Hancock quit on the ball. When it's in the air, the receiver has to come get it.

It was a good play call. He had Austin(I believe) wide open over the middle for a first down.
