Does a receiver have to hit age 62 before they can receive the deceased benefits?

Absolutely not they are for survivors of anyone who has paid into SS. It’s a fairly piddling amount but can help. I think children receive it until they reach 18.

So it's ridiculous for a life insurance company to ask so many questions? If they are giving $1,000 000 for $50 a month, just what should they be able to ask?

I mean my sister having lymphoma 10+ years ago ... I guess isn't ridiculous? But to me it is. Just my opinion. I never said how much coverage or what we pay for it either.
