Playing UGA before October 1

I agree. i think within the next 5 years the SEC will expand to 20 teams and probaly 24 eventually to match the Big Ten.

Actually, I should say that we may still start seeing UGA every year if we start meeting them in Atlanta .

Better to get them early. Next year is a L in Athens bc their QB will be back and we will be breaking in a new one.

Next realistic shot 2 years from now @ home.

Not sure we will be playing them next year, or the next. They will be on the rotation. Unless you already know the schedule. My understanding is we will have Bama, Florida, and Vandy as our permenant rivals.

We used to moan and complain about playing Florida early in the year now we want to play uga early in the year. I never understood why it mattered. Just have your team ready to play everyone gets the sato amount of practice time

Well, we did beat them in Gainesville for the first time in forever because of Sept.11th. Back then it was because we were breaking in a new secondary and Florida was the best passing team in the conference. Later in the year our DBs were experienced enough to hang with them. We also beat UGA 9 straight playing them early and many of those games were won in the fashion they beat us on Saturday. Most games were close.

I like the idea just because of the unknowns. If was a hard game to predict and it delivered in ways most didnt anticipate.

There have been 13 games in this series played before Oct 1. Tennessee is 4-8-1 in those games. Don't think it really matters.

Having to go to Gainesville in early September every year flat out sucked; especially when we were ending up kicking off at 3:30.
