players whining at 5:30 am workouts

This is the worst post i've ever read on VolNation.

Good Lord. Whether you believe in small or large gov't, leave that crap at the door.

We're here to talk about UT football. What the hell are you talking about???

If things were left up to me, you would not be allowed back.[/QUOTE]

Spoken like someone who doesn't agree with his politics. I'm guessing you prefer dictatorships? All hail Nugent!

From what i hear the players are starting to come around, they realize that the coaches pushing them now will pay off later. Strength and conditioning program is much improved and they have brought a competitive atmosphere back into the gym, something that was missing the last few years.

they dont have a choice.. they know the talent that is about to come in this year and the following years and the staff wont hesitate to replace them.. maybe thats what they've started to realize

Two words - Bull Moose (The animal not the political party, band, or carbon steel thingy)

I go to tn tech and my roommate plays football. Their workouts are at 5:30 also. He is in bed at around 9:00 or a little after. There isn't any going out and getting drunk when you're up and running your guts out that early. Just think about the negative publicity having early morning workouts would have saved if Coach Fulmer would have implemented something like this. There were a lot of those arrests, fights, etc that took place on weekdays a few years back. I'm willing to bet those days are over.

I hope so. (FYI, if I had these restrictions when I was at UT, I would have been kicked off the team 6 days a week):p

Then you should have quit reading at the "I know I'm off topic here" part. If you're that mad about somebody expressing an opinion then by all means, have me banned.
