It has been constantly brought up about players not buying into the system, especially upper-classmen. He are the top 3 players I think aren't high on Dooley...

1. Luke Stocker
2. David Oku
3. Cody Pope

Stocker never gets the ball and doesnt catch it when he does. No energy there at all.

Oku gives up to easy. No fight in this kid at all. Its obvious this kid workd like hell in the offseason to get bigger and stronger, but hes lost his speed

Cody Pope is the easy choice. No urgency to get back, and is so soft.

I am not sure on Gerald Jones. He seems to have an I dont care attitude, and is always negative, yet he comments about being a better leader and such.

1. Cody Pope is rumored to have no feeling in his shoulder.

2. Stocker loves Dooley

3. Oku- who cares he probably doesn't like Dooley now that he never plays.

So you just named 2 players that don't matter in Pope and Oku and another that you're flat out wrong on.

Luke Stocker has bought in. He just isn't catching the ball like he did last season.

OKU and Pope are a waste of talent, so who cares.

UT will be fine, give Dooley some time and let him get the team together.

A lot of fans and players didn't like Saban, and Meyer when they first got there either. I think they all worked out OK.

I can only imagine the disenfranchisement the seniors have from the coaching turmoil weve had.

Those are three that I wasn't thinking about. I was more concerned about Milton, Bray, and Williams.

The other thing is Simms size. He's had more batted balls than anyone I can remember. Tough to hit the tight end across the middle if you can't see him or throw over the lineman.

Oku is a baby.
Pope is a wasted talent (hurt).
Stocker is playing well but has no supporting cast. I thought he was very good against 'Bama.

I see 69 active players who came to UT by scholarship on the roster right now.

Take any team in America. Any one of them. Hold out the 33 JUCO, Fr, and RS Fr... then randomly remove 16 of the remaining 52 players... then see what you have left. Would Bama be a top 10 team if you did that? Would anyone in the top 25 be there if you did that?... Oh, you have to lose all of your DT's to add a degree of difficulty.

The bigger problem for UT is that it wasn't random. They lost some of the most talented guys they had to attrition.

This team has more Fr and JUCO's than any two of the other 3 classes combined.

By my count: 30 Fr, 3 JUCO, 14 So, 10 Jr, 12 Sr.

Umm did Hyams provide you with this wonderful insight... all I can say is wow.... how about you ask the 20 plus recruits Dooley landed between end of last year and this years commitments... all their comments are an extreme contrast to your comments.... that is pretty much the worst attempt at insight I think I have seen on this board yet... sorry brother... just doesn't add up at all

I look for Stocker to put up big numbers in the final few games when we play talent that we can compete with!

Agree! Hyams is a bozo! These three young men are having tough years. Nothing more. This thread needs to go away! GBO!!!

Kiffin coached up Stocker...he has gone from 2nd round pick to undrafted under Dooley!

LWS says that Pope still has no feeling in his shoulder still, so, yeah.

no offense here, but who cares if the upperclassmen don't buy into dooley.

they are not the future of the program.

i would be more concerned if the young players don't buy into dooley

Poor seniors. I feel really bad for them. Gosh, with the number of former NFL coordinators on these 2 coaching staffs, they probably haven't gotten any decent instruction. I would imagine playing in some of the best facilities in the country, on national tv almost every weekend, having the honor of wearing the uniform (something that most of us only dreamed about at that age), and getting treated better than every other college student on campus has probably been really depressing for these guys.
