I heard from a source that 12 people or so were let off the team, anyone hear this as well? Also, that Rico was almost one of those players because he stood up and challenged Kiffin in the meeting. Can anyone shed some light if they are more in the know

Someone said yesterday that 10 to 20 were on the fence. Not sure if what you are hearing is coming from that or if it really happened.

Rico is the latest in an ever increasing list of overrated Linebackers that we have had lately. If hes bucking up to the new coach, I wouldnt mind seeing him go.

Well, what the guy posted was supposedly from an inside source. Could be true. Guess we will have to wait and see if anything definitive is made public.

Did your source have a reason as to why Rico challenged Kiffin?

WTF!!!!! I'm enraged!!!! Who do these guys think they are to buck up to a coach??? I would have NEVER ever imagined doing that nor could I imagine anyone else that I know do that. Throw him off the team unless there is some mitigating circumstances that downplay his act.

Per VQ, McCoy was kicked off the field during one of the early morning workouts, but later returned, apologized, and was allowed to continue.

The answer is Rico is basically he got his chops busted for his lack of motivation and effort , got kicked off the FIELD. He later then came back and apologized for his lack of efforts and promised to be more motivated.

Probably not an uncommon occurrence on many practice fields. I remember similar things in H.S. Coach makes an example of someone to get the teams attention and instills that you can and will be kicked out.

happened a few times to me as well (I didn't get kicked out:)). Definitely gets your attention

Most of the walk ons are being told they can leave now or they have two weeks to prove something. The walk ons wear black jerseys during practices so the coaches can distinguish them. If they screw up, they are done. Several have already packed up and left.

From what I heard about Rico, Coach O asked him something and he wouldn't say "Yes sir" he just said "yes." I heard the coach asked him that a few times and he only answered with a yes, so they sent him home. But I guess he's back now.

You've got to have some nerve to try and test CLK or any of the other coaches for that matter...it's obvious that Lane means effing business.

Especially with several freshman LBs coming in an other underclassmen that would love the chance to take his OLB spot.

if i had a dollar for every time i or a fellow teammate got booted from practice, i could retire right now.
