Players leaving and Bama...makes me laugh

When Saban first got to Alabama didn't players complain and quit because the workouts and practices were too tough. The same thing we are/were going through.

Yes they certainly did....Only the strong survive...Like the old saying goes, If You can't run with the big dogs, Stay on the porch and piss with the puppies.:clapping:

I would guess that there would be 4 reasons for Hall to leave Bama:

1. McClain
2. Hightower
3. Tana Patrick
4. Nico Johnson

All studs, all younger than him. Good grief, Saban has amassed some serious talent in a hurry. The Bama D will be filthy until he is gone.

He has done one heck of a job recruiting.

When you have the likes of Jimmy Johns on your team, you need to divert as much attention as possible.

Actually, this is not accurate. Saban did not run off more than 1 or 2 prior to the 07 season, his first at Bama. The mass attrition began following 2007 prior to last season to make room for the incoming 08 class. Check the facts.

I know what happened to JJ but I still don't know what you are referring to when it comes to diverting attention.

Throwing stones at the current UT staff when your current staff allows known drug dealers to stay on the team because you have depth problems.

+1

It still blows my mind that there was relatively little backlash from that situation.

He was thrown off the team immediately. What more do you want?

So you believe the first time anyone on the UAT staff knew he was dealing coke was after a lengthy investigation that lead to his felony charges?

And if so, that is actually worse since everyone else knew.

OK, let's assume what you are saying is true. How is that any different than your punter being disciplined on 4 or 5 different occassions for alcohol related offenses? Now, I admit that cocaine is a much more serious offense but how many times do you let someone stay on the team for the same offense?

It is also my understanding that the staff knew nothing about his dealings. It is also my understanding that an undercover police had to let the staff in on what they had found over a considerable amount of time.

The staff that allowed the punter to stay on the team is no longer at UT. The staff that allowed Jimmy Johns to stay on the team is the current regime at UAT.

So everyone on the UAT campus knew that Jimmy Johns was the dope man except for his coaches? Seriously?

Because most college football fans (especially fans in the SEC):

1.) Are insanely biased towards their team to the point that said team can do no wrong and all other teams can do no right

AND

2.) Honestly don't follow any team other than their favorite closely enough to form a truely intelligent opinion (assuming...of course...that they're capable of that to begin with)

I wish I knew how to do that thing where you link from one thread to another. If I could, I would quote this statement in all threads related to BMK.

I don't know really. I highly doubt that Saban would've stood around and let him stay. I don't even think Kiffin would allow that. Or even Fulmer for that matter.
