Why is it when players leave UT rival fans looks at it as a negative on our new staff. They claim CLK is an idiot that has no idea what he is doing.

Yet, now that Bama has Prince Hall no longer on the team. It is because he chose to not do the things the right way and he didn't want what would be best for him.

Its really sad to see someone unwilling to change for the better.
Had talent, but I guess not the attitude to match.

I just find it funny.

I am sure they say we are the exact same way and I guess we are once I take the orange glasses off :)

Because most fans in general don't know anything about college football, and have never even played the sport.

18-21 year olds are hard to figure out. I would think losing a handful of players each season is normal for any team.

Because most college football fans (especially fans in the SEC):

1.) Are insanely biased towards their team to the point that said team can do no wrong and all other teams can do no right

AND

2.) Honestly don't follow any team other than their favorite closely enough to form a truely intelligent opinion (assuming...of course...that they're capable of that to begin with)

Quite honestly, I didn't think he had any eligibility left. He was a Shula recruit who couldn't get out of Saban's doghouse.

This is true.

Don't ever assume anything about an Alabama fan especially when the word intelligent is used

True...I know that. Just think it is funny to see.

Everyone that has left UT have been Fulmer recruits

I know it's going to be a long summer but I think I'll just ignore all the "newsmakers" and bide my time until football season is getting ready to launch. It will probably help to keep the blood pressure within reason. :p

I doubt our SEC opponents will ever shut up about us. When we start winning they will just make up different excuses as to why we are winning.

I would assume the reason, in this case at least, is because there has been problem after problem with Prince Hall. He has been given many opportunities to work his way back on the depth chart and pisses it away everytime. Eventually he finds himself off the team.

The difference between him and some of the guys that have left the Vols recently is that many of them have had little to no disciplinary issues. So when they leave it is seen as something other than "they just couldn't hang" or "they never did get it together".

Just my opinion between the two situations brought up by the original poster.

Bama fans have always been like that

Remember, they were mad at Flumer because they got caught cheating?

I would guess that there would be 4 reasons for Hall to leave Bama:

1. McClain
2. Hightower
3. Tana Patrick
4. Nico Johnson

All studs, all younger than him. Good grief, Saban has amassed some serious talent in a hurry. The Bama D will be filthy until he is gone.

Probably didn't want to compete. Seniority gets into peoples heads.

When you aren't willing to put in the effort to live up to the standard the coach sets for retaining your scholarship... that IS a discipline issue. Not the kind that gets you in trouble with the law or anything but it is a lack of personal dedication and discipline.

This morning's Baton Rouge paper announces that another player has left the LSU team, making 7 of those since January.

Meanwhile, one of the departees, named Phelon Jones, is transferring to Bama, further evidence that their program is associated with phelons.

What is a phelon?
