In hindsight, the decision to place it in the hands of the D was the right thing to do. That being said, I wish we would have had that mentality on the "interception" drive. We had run and passed our way down the field for the longest drive by any team of the day. 3rd and 2 (I think) at the 4 or so. If we run and don't get it, likely fieldgoal and a 2 score game. We had also just held their O to 2, three and outs. A run had a chance since 1st and 2nd down yielded 8. There D was a tired as it was going to get. A successful run would have been demoralizing as well. I was pleading for a run at the time. If you look at the pass, even if the guy who got the Int didn't, there was no way the completion would have happened. 2 guys in front of the receiver. Actually, they'd have been better with the likely int in the endzone (field position). We got greedy.
Anyway, a Win is a Win. Go vols and lets hope we get the O clicking. We will need it against USC and ND, and hopefully Auburn.
