How can you be in 3rd and long all day and always throw the ball underneath the marker? Makes no sense at all! Guess it's time to put the blame where it belongs.
Just look at the play calling last year when Richmond was playing App St. in the playoffs, all they had to do was run out the clock and instead tried to run the ball, fumbled and lost the game with no time left. Clawson doesn't have a clue.

isn't that what you do when you run the clock out?

Clawson's got a clue. The scheme makes sense. We don't have the players to put it to use.

but you clearly said your walk-on friend said Clawson wasn't calling plays so what does it matter if his scheme works?

Clawson's out of his league...
we won't even reach our pathetic average of 18 points a game

It doesn't matter who's calling the plays, we are not executing them when they get called this year.

Clawson is in over his head. Maybe he will be good because he is smart. But, this is Tennessee, not on the job training. If he is not calling his own plays then it is still his fault because he doesn't have the balls to stand up to Fulmer. Right now, the WHOLE staff is a problem.

I liked the end around call. It just so happened we ran it right into a corner blitz. We need to get Gerald Jones the ball more than we do. He's our only dynamic playmaker.

Poor leadership reflects poor performance, I hear all the time that it is up to the players to excute. I believe that you have to put some of the blame on the players. (ie O-line, QB's and Wr's) but how many times is this going to be an excuse. Something is wrong with Vol football. :banghead2:
