play calling is bad...Simms is worse

First play of the game Simms over throws a WR that might have led to a touchdown. Just now he threw another bad pass that the Announcer even said should have been a first down throw. Don't care what anybody says, if he doesn't get better, he needs to sit down after this game and Bray needs to take it from here.

Ihtb, making notes for VN Live on Thursday. I think Matt Simms may be one of our least accurate passers. Certainly one of the worst in the SEC so far.

I wouldn't start Bray and have him play his first game against our D. I would try to ease him in. Looks like he has some real skills though

Seriously! That would be a monumental failure to do that to the kid. No decent coach would do that.

Simms is awful. I've been saying this since January. Why are people just realizing this?

Strong but horribly inaccurate arm and terrible decisions.

I do not care what the coaches say, etc. Simms is definitely looking down his receivers too. I am surprised they did not come up with a pick on two throws.
Hope he improves throughout the game.

Cut the guy some slack. He's playing for a new team and with a young offensive line. I was a doubter a few months ago, but I think he's going to turn out just fine.

If he was going to be anything worth anything, then he would've had at least one other FBS-school offer out of JC. He didn't.

He's one big fail.

dave, he may very well turn out just fine as you say, currently he makes Rick Clausen look like a huge upgrade.

I don't think Bray should start today but when the schedule gets to the easier teams he should.

He just needs to learn to not stare at his receiver from the time the ball is snapped until he throws the ball. If he can learn to look at them right before he throws the ball he will be ok. Have some faith.

We had 2nd and Goal on the 3.
I'm sorry but you gotta question why we don't just go jumbo and try to pound it in.
I really hope the coaches don't make anymore HUGE mistakes like that was.
