So... when does the spring practice begin? For me this season is going to be rough to watch. We knew this new staff would be hard pressed for wins due to lack of talent, coaching, and the schedule. You think this game is rough... check out the next 5 games. They will all be hard to watch. I can only hope for positive progress in development which may or may not show on scoreboard. We neeed to recruit and develop. I hope for some wins but it is very doubtful.

We need 3 to 4 full recruiting cycles to be competitive.

This will be the worst season in school history. This team has no heart or athletic ability compared to their competition.

The heart and soul gets suck out of them so easily and BJ is to blame. Instilling a new mindset and culture will take time but it is hard to watch

Correct. No one argued that Butch couldn’t recruit. He just sucked at development and X’s and O’s

Pruitt will easily recruit just as good if not better than Butch’s trends. And he for sure is a better developer.... x’s and O’s TBD

OC staff blew chunks tonight. They need to get their butts in gear.

Players wet the bed. Coaches wet the bed.

I saw some upset young individuals...they either buy in or get their asses whooped. Choice is theirs.

Butch recruited smaller “faster” linemen. That crap doesn’t work in the SEC. We need studs to line up. Without that, we will be this bad.

Then why are the players not as good as they last year and last year they were terrible.

Jones got lucky his first year with quite a few legacy recruits, after that it was just a a buncha busts and recruits that didn't pan out and left for one reason or another.

I was pleased (for most part(can’t seal the ends)) with the D. But what is this offense? Pruitt wants a power run game which I love but running every play doesn’t win games! This O staff needs to rethink some things

I don’t think he could recruit for crap. Clearly those rankings were inaccurate. The natural ability portion of his recruited “talent” is sorely lacking.

They were busts because they weren’t developed plain and simple.

Recruits are labeled “busts” because they didn’t develop into anything. Butch couldn’t develop worth a lick
