I'm not sure what it is about Pitt, but Cutcliffe's teams have pretty consistently struggled with them for the last 6 years since...well...Pitt joined the ACC in 2013.

It's 26-10 Pitt at the start of the 4th quarter in a game that pretty much decides who might have a chance against UVA in the Coastal Division race, with Pitt looking to win its 5th in a row in the series and 6th of the last 7 in this series.

(Though Pitt already lost to UVA in the opener, so they'd need a lot more help to make it a conference race.)

Apparently I was on a bit of a delay. Duke scored and got the 2 point conversion to make it 26-18 Pitt early in the 4th quarter.

And another TD Duke on a 3-yard run. The 2 point conversion failed though, so it's 26-24 Pitt now with 9:10 left in the game.

Duke gets the ball back and goes for it on 4th and 7 at the Pitt 42 with a little under 6 min left, but the pass is broken up. Pitt ball.

And Duke's QB completes a 44 yard TD pass with 1:29 left in the game to make it 30-26 Duke. The Blue Devils called a timeout and went for 2 but the conversion was no good.

Chalk this game up to turnovers I guess. Duke had 6 turnovers (3 INTs and 3 fumbles, when it was all said and done) to Pitt's 4.

Another ending that's more of the same in this series though.

2013: Pitt 58 - Duke 55
2014: Duke 51 - Pitt 48 OT
2015: Pitt 31 - Duke 13
2016: Pitt 56 - Duke 14
2017: Pitt 24 - Duke 17
2018: Pitt 54 - Duke 45
2019: Pitt 33 - Duke 30
