He was just following Haslam's orders.Lol. So out of all the teams sarching for HCs in the past 3 years, not one hired the great Mike Leach. He is having a good season. UK made it into the top 10. He is benefitting from a down year from the PAC 12. Keep on believing the clown pirate would have been successful here. We would likely be even worse with Leach at the helm.
You will be changing your time by around next season.

They didn't want him because he is a smart guy and wouldn't put up with the good ol' boy club in Knoxville. What you might find even funnier, is he might been one of the few coaches that has a system that Guarantano could excel in.So was FSU, Oregon, UCLA, UGA, VT, UF, MSU, TAMU, Miami, Texas, SC, Arizona just following the ADs orders? I guess they were. All these high profile programs ADs were told NOT to hire the great Mike Leach. Hahahahahahahaha. Dont ever change man. Your posts provide great comic relief.

Why would I do that..... in year 3 at wash state with a much easier schedule..... leach was just 3-9.....it’s not like it’s impossible to win there .... they have had mike price and Dennis Erickson as coaches..... drew bledsoe and Ryan leaf at QB.....between us and Washington state, we are the only team that has beaten someone still ranked in the top 25.
The biggest reason why he hasn't gotten a great job is his personality but also the issue with Craig James' son at Tech. If you want to continue looking like a fool who refuses to believe that Mike Leach isn't one of CFB's most greatest minds than be my guest.
Interesting. So you'd rather have the last laugh than see the Vols win. They didn't want him because he is a smart guy and wouldn't put up with the good ol' boy club in Knoxville. We will soon see who has the last laugh.

Prior to Leach getting there WSU didn't have a winning season since 2003 and hadn't been to a bowl game since than either. Leach now has 4 wining seasons and has taken them to bowl games in 5 of his 7 years as HC and is looking at taking them to the conference championship game this year. The fact he can win at places like Pullman and Lubbock shows me something.
His personality permeates through every aspect of how he runs a program though. He's never recruited at a very high level. His teams are extremely reliant on offense, defense optional.Excuses, excuses, excuses. So every big time D1 program just doesn't want a genius as a coach because of his personality? Lol. Ok sure. That's totally the reason.

So why can't he get one then? I think it is entirely possible he actually doesn't even want one.Leach is the ultimate system guy. But the excuses as to why the guy cannot land a big time job are as bad as Lebron complaining he doesnt have enough talent. When he gets a big time job and wins at a high level, then he will be somebody.
I don't see it. Quite a bit would have to happen. Alabama isn't losing a game and neither is Clemson. Notre Dame has FSU, Syracuse, and USC left. It's possible they lose one of those, but I don't see it. That's 3 of the 4 spots. The last one goes to Michigan if they win out, and Oklahoma if they don't.Do yall think there's even an outside chance of Wazzou making it into the playoff?
That would be amazing.
