People who only care about "points scored" in a box score are the same kind of people who think the waiter made the soufflé.
Dirk has pretty much single handedly carried his team.

Nice article. Favorite quote:
This is what I'm always talking about. Sports fans and the media tend to greatly overvalue scoring when assessing players. We have this idea that you can't be a star unless you score. You can do everything else on the court, but if you don't score you will be considered a "role player". Whereas if the only thing you can do is score, you aren't considered a role player (scoring is a role, believe it or not), you are considered a star. Go figure.

Disagree. As much as I love Dirk, he is mostly just a scorer. There's a lot more to the game than that. I don't think you can "single-handedly"* carry your team if you only excel at one thing on one side of the court.
*I realize it's hyperbole, but still Dirk is getting too much credit.
Revelation: LeBron is the new Scotty Pippen.
This is not Wade's team. Wade has been unable to carry the Heat to victory when Lebron has played poorly (in 3 chances). Lebron however has carried the Heat to victory three times (Chicago x 2, Philadelphia) when Wade has played poorly (in 5 chances). Scottie Pippen was a great player, but he wouldn't likely be the #1 guy in a "big 3" lineup
Keep thinking that.
