Penn State's student-athletes are instantly identified by their blue and white uniforms - but those weren't the original school colors. A three-member committee representing the sophomore, junior and senior classes was appointed in October of 1887 to develop color options from which the student body would select the school's official colors. Dark pink and black was the unanimous choice of the student body after considering the color combinations presented by the committee.

Soon many students and the baseball team were sporting pink and black striped blazers and caps. However, problems arose when the pink faded to white after several weeks of exposure to the sun. The students then opted for blue, rather than black, and white. The official announcement of the new choice was made on March 18, 1890.

Got to at least give them credit for seeing the err of their ways. The only people who can get away with wearing Pink and Black are jockeys.

Nothing wrong at all with pink. I have a sweet pink polo shirt. :)

However, on a football uniform...

you've got a sweet pink shirt.....f--:lolabove:

Although pink on a football uniform is a little too much, I've got a "sweet" pink tie. Chicks dig it, it's usually the ones that aren't man enough to pull it off that diss pink.

Not that this has anything to do with pink and black unis, but pink on a man is fine. As long as the man is man enough to sport it. Honestly, a man that is secure enough in himself to carry pink off well, is really cool.

But, back to the original topic.......for some reason, in my mind, I see zebra/tiger stripes of pink and black in the now defunct (thank God) XFL. Kinda like an out there Bengals uni? The thought is horrendous, don't you think?:swoon3:

If a man is secure enough of himself to wear pink then he must surely be secure enough to admit he's gay.. :eek:lol:

There should be a man law that real men don't wear pink. I don't care how "secure" you are, men don't wear pink, period. If you have to defend yourself by saying you're secure enough to wear it....you shouldn't wear it.

I suppose you are right. I am secure enough to wear my pink tie, so by your reasoning I am not a real man and must clearly be gay. How on earth am I going to break this to my wife and children...

I agree a person can wear what they choose as long as they are confident enough to make it work.Does anyone really care?Besides, the panther was pink.:)

I guess it's OK if you leave the top two buttons open with a tuft of chest hair hanging out. Accessorize with colored bikini briefs too.
Negative on both counts. I wear two shirts, anyway. Keep trying to make yourself feel better about not being able to wear pink. :)
