I didn't see the game. Only listened online. How did he look last night in terms of speed and cutting ability? I might get blasted for this but I'm hoping he progresses and takes devrins touches away. I like young but there's a few times where I feel he's lacked the top end speed to finish plays. He's shifty and has great awareness and is pretty quick but I don't think he has the wheels to house a lot of plays. I hope pig is a faster version who can actually occasionally run the ball with effectiveness as well since we've all seen that devrin can't do that Nd has already gave that job to Watson. Again not a knock on devrin, he seems to be a great kid I just hope pig is even better

He had one great catch with a DB draped all over him like a cheap fur! I was surprised he came up with it.

For a true freshman, coming off injury, having learned a new offense, seeing his first ever action at this level...

He looked pretty darn good bringing in a big 3rd down conversion in traffic. He also broke wide open on a crossing route and Bray missed him, so could have been even better from a statistical point of view.

He didn't look too special? What exactly do people expect??? I simply don't understand why so many people on this board give the impression that they expect every player to make utterly breathtaking spectacular plays every single down resulting in Tennessee winning every single game by 100+ points.

Pig did his job and did it well. I for one think we've got a talent there. Time will tell.

Am I the only one who thinks devrin doesn't have break away speed though? My best example was his return against gst where there was a huge window right in front of him and I just knew he would blow through it and it closed right on him. It was a good return but could have been 6 if hunter or Patterson was in that position. Least it looked that way to my untrained eye.

If our special teams can't block at the line and prevent their gunners from running down the field it doesn't matter how fast you are. It's called special "teams" for a reason and not a special player.

I want to see pig take over the slot spot. He was made to be a slot receiver and will alway be able to exploit a teams 3rd cover man

Are some of you so miserable that you bash a true freshman getting his first game action? We get it, you aren't happy but stop trashing every single person involved with the program.

I think that Pig Howard and Q. Watson will be good players for us and will play more as the season goes on. Also I think that Justin King will be a good one for us as well

He looked bigger (taller) than I thought he would for some reason...It may have been the camera angle though...

Pig is gonna be a damn good WR. One play he broke wide open on the sideline but Bray missed him. (I believe Bray threw to CP on that play)

All three are good guys as well. They add speed and leadership at their position.

He'll be a good player. He's a damn true freshman..

He's not gonna come out and win the heisman in one game.

He'll be alright once he gets the hang of things.
