Underachiever would between the Gators and Vols. The Vols to this point are the biggest underachiever in overall games.

Overachiever is close between South Carolina and Kentucky but I'll say Kentucky is the biggest overachiever to this point.

Gawga is under....Kentucky is over. I expected SC to be in serious contention at this point.

I agree with Lex. UGA was hyped (and actually got to a higher rank than we did) before they fell to celebrating a win vs Vandy.

UGA as the underachiever. Although I am interested to see what role they might play in helping to determine the SEC East winner. Richt is a good coach and has talent, it is realistic that he could take down a UK or UF.

UGA is massive underachiever and I find myself thinking that every year, so how come I keep expecting it to be any different?

Overachiever would be Kentucky, IMO. Most saw Woodson as being a very good QB, but the rest of the team has risen to the occassion and played much better than expected so as to put them in posiiton to win the East.

what about under/over achievers as far as players are concerned in the league?

Underachiever = Darren McFadden, he looks like the 2nd best RB on his team

Overachiever = Lucas Taylor, a legitimate threat

Under- stays with Gawga and goes to Stafford
Over- Matt Flynn he is just not that good

The McFadden pick is a joke. Nutt has ridden McFadden into the ground and it's only halfway through the season.

When players like John Parker Wilson and Matt Stafford are having the years they are having they deserve the title much more than McFadden

Lucas is spot on.

Under- Arkansas, what a waste of McFadden and Jones(0-3 SEC).
Over- Kentucky for now, but they will come crashing down to reality before the season is over.

I wouldn't put UT as an underachiever just yet. They control their ability to win the East right now.

Why Arkansas? Everyone knew the fans hated Houston Nutt. They didn't win in McFadden or Jones's freshmen year and after last year the D was gutted by the draft, as well as the OL. Arkansas becoming a loser again is no suprise.

UK's run will not end until the NFL draft this spring

No way is Georgia an underachiever. I had them 5th in the east before the season began. They started with no O or D-line, low returning defensive starters, poor wide recievers, and an unproven Sophomore QB (worst year for QBs). There running game this year should have been solid and it is.

No one is underachieving in my book.

LSU-Lost one game to a very offensively talented team on the road in the SEC. No shame there.

Florida-Their defensive talent wasn't enough for them to be special this year. They probably will lose one more game.

UT-Two road losses to pretty good teams, but still in the SECEast race at this point. Sounds mediocre enough to me. The defense certainly has underachieved, but the offense is also better than it should be. Ainge is tearing it up.

Scar- Excellent coach and enough talent. They should've been the best team in the East this year and they're still right up there.

Kentucky-The overachievers. Their defense should've cost them two wins so far, but Andre Woodson is all that. Rich Brooks barely deserves it.

Bama-Probably the best coach, with low low talent. They're doing as well as they should be to this point.

Arkansas-Houston Nutt is Soooooo gone. This team would be undefeated if they still had Mustain, and he was not the coach.

Auburn-The epitome of Tuberville's run. Never quit team, despite the horrid loss to Mississippi State.

The rest should be bad and are. Mississippi State got hot for a while, but they'll still have a losing record IMO.

As far as players:

Underachievers-HEFNEY, Brandon Cox

Overachievers-Lucas Taylor, Andre Woodson,

And Nationally...

Underachieving Teams-Louisville, Michigan, Clemson, USC

Overachieving Teams-Kansas (sort of), Cincinnati, Oklahoma (very very impressive, Colorado loss was stupid)

Over- Kentucky without a doubt. I don't think anyone saw that coming.

Under- Georgia and Tennessee. Tennessee the chance to play their way out of it. Georgia was highly thought of after last year's ending. Tennessee has a veteran team.

Can't really label Florida as underachievers because it was expected they would struggle with a young team. They handed our asses to us.

I think Arkansas is the biggest under. I think UT is right about where I thought we'd be. Same with Uga...Stafford got MUCH more hype/love then he should have for the end of last year. But Arkansas? I really thought they'd be ok because they still had Monk, Jones, McFadden. And while you knew they were going to take a hit with all their loses from a year ago, did you honestly think they'd be 0-3 in the sec?

Overachiver, gotta go with everyone else and say Kentucky. I thought they pull off an upset or two, but not beating Lsu.
