Pick 5 losses you can live with

N.C. State
Georgia State
Akron
Troy
Mississippi State

that would leave us with no losses to any team in the West and a shot at playing for the SEC championship.

so since it is only 5 losses we would win the SEC championship and a BCS bowl. We also would beat Alabama.

I believe, unless conference re-alignment claimed another victim, the Miss. State is in the SEC West...:hi:

Is it still true that Tennessee and Ohio State are the only two schools in FBS history that have not lost 8 games in a season? If it is true then what ever we have to do to win more than 4 games is good with me. I don't care about records, stats, nothing. All i care about is that one statistic if it is indeed true.

I could live with a bowl loss...

Rose, Fiesta, Orange, Sugar, Citrus... any of those loses would be fine with me.

This is true, and something I'm proud of.

A majority of you have voted that 8-5 is an acceptable outcome for the Vols next year. For those who picked that option, what 5 losses are acceptable?

8/30 or 9/1 - NC State (Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic)
9/8 - Georgia State
9/15 - Florida
9/22 - Akron
9/29 - at Georgia
10/6 - BYE
10/13 - at Mississippi State
10/20 - Alabama
10/27 - at South Carolina
11/3 - Troy
11/10- Missouri
11/17 - at Vanderbilt
11/24 - Kentucky

Bowl

Acceptable and realistic are two totally different things, which has become all too apparent the last few years.

Acceptable losses: Georgia, Alabama, USCjr, maybe Florida

Realistic losses: Georgia, Alabama, USCjr, Florida, NC State (coin-toss at this point), Vandy (coin-toss), Mizzou (we can easily lose to them)

I predict 7-6, but we could easily go 6-7 or 5-7 (again). I hate to be a "Nega-Vol" and hope I am proven wrong, but I have ZERO faith in this team and nothing that has happened the last two years gives me a lot of hope that we will magically turn it around.

You gotta think "the perfect storm" will not happen again next year. I see your likely losses coming against UF, UGA, Bama, and USCe. Let's say you win one of those, and don't lose any that you're not supposed to and you're 8-3. I think that's what most UT fans should accept as a pretty good season, and anything more than that as gravy. Vandy should be close, and Mizzou could be tougher than some think. Time will tell.

what 5 losses are acceptable?

1]Loss of virginity
2]Loss of weekend sobriety
3] Loss of beer gut
4] Loss of fleeting youth
5] Loss of hair
:eek:lol::rock:
