I have loved Coach Fulmer for a long time as most us VFLs have. But some are saying after the Schiano fiasco that Coach Fulmer is involved with the search? If so and he doesn't recommend a former Vol and his own player Tee Martin hypocritical? We all know Fulmer got the job via OC fill in for Coach Majors. So why say Tee isn't seasoned yet?

Haslam and Currie have him locked and chained up in the basement

I would recommend Peyton either siding with the fans and former players or backing away from this situation as well before his hands get dirty

I don't know if it is hypocritical (hypocritical is choosing something for yourself that you wouldn't choose for others, Fulmer's selection wasn't his own to make). Fulmer had several years experience at the time (on the same team no less). In addition, Fulmer has to bow to the wishes of the donors - if they want a prior HC, that's what Fulmer has to guide him.

I'd be happy with Tee and for all I know Fulmer would love to have him if the choice was his own to make.

His hands are already dirty and his love for this school is not what everyone thinks. He is in bed with Haslam.

It’s my understanding Fulmer has not been asked about any specific candidates. He had no part on Schiano.

Apparently Manning is caught up in the tone deaf bubble and being another yes man for JH3.

Haslam is the ring leader that fired Fulmer!

Please don't open your mouth when you have no idea what you're talking about!

Riiiiiiiight.

A guy that gave his all for UT to the point he risked his lucrative career in the NFL for one more season wearing orange doesn't have the love for the school that you (an anonymous poster who may or may not have even attended the university) do?

Hahahahahaha

You too funny.

If you go back and watch the presser with Currie one of the first statements out of his mouth was, as soon as I was through with the Jones meeting the fist call I made was to Coach Fulmer to let him know.

I found that statement very odd at the time, he called Fulmer first, not his boss Davenport?
But now Fulmer's not involved in the hiring process, there's some BS going on somewhere

So many questions one would like to ask these guys.

I think the fact of the matter is tee isn’t ready yet and Peyton is trying to protect him as well as Phil. I know Phil loves tee to a fault. He was a huge reason Phil got his nc. Maybe they are thinking at this point okay we get an average coach for the next 4 -5 years tee will be ready. They would like him here but only to be successful

Fulmer probably scheming to take over the AD like he did for HC this time sabotaging the coaching search.

That's not hypocritical. Just because he played for him doesn't mean he has to be like Tee is the man when he isn't

The reason Tee gave for not coming here before was his wife's singing career, and needing to be in LA where her producer is.

Now, maybe that was just BS because he didn't want to work for Butch. But why go after a guy with no HC experience if he is tied to that area?

If Tee called Fulmer and expressed genuine interest, I am pretty damn sure at this point the plane would already have been in LA by now, or one of the VFLs who are lobbying for him would reassure us he want to be here.

But if his wife is still strangling the cat, she doesn't want to trade the ocean breeze and warmth of LA being a 15 minute drive from the recording studio for driving 2 hours to Nashville every day.

I believe he is referring to Peyton.

Who by all accounts has aligned himself with Haslam for political and career reasons. Peyton is going to be on the wrong side of UT history here. It's very sad.

VN is simply looking for excuses. Leave Coach Fulmer out of this. Firing him started the decade of disaster.....SOON to be decades.

I have a feeling that Fulmer is as involved as you and I.

Well as far as the Coaching Search....I would hope that he would Sabotage it....Truly believe he does not want the AD job and would see that Blackburn got it...

At this point, I think cooler heads need to prevail. We really don't know what is going on behind closed doors. I would like to see Kiffin back under conditions to protect the school but if Doeren is hired, we need to give him a chance. We have enough of a black eye already!

Or, maybe he has his own opinion and isn't as high on Tee Martin as the HC.....OC maybe, but not HC. Everyone is wrong if the fans don't get who "THEY" want. Anarchy does not work at any level, even in this situation.
