Horrible first half.
Defense awful first few series by design not talent.
1 for 15 getting people off the field on 3rd and less than 3...worst in the sec...defense on 3rd worst in sec and bottoms in country

if phil doesn't leave chavis must.
Horrible to watch..

I hope wilson is off for bama or we in deep trouble

true, aint got a comeback for that, but I think we need to give a raise to Larry Slade after this year

The D is only performing due to talent....We are getting most picks against horrible teams...ucla, uab, ms st..
the packages he runs are stupid...with the talent we have we should be up on the ball.
I guarantee you JPW will not miss wide open receivers that are 5 yards behind our d for touchdowns and will not throw it right to us as in the Morley case.
face it...Defense playing to talent despite chavis...with a good scheme they could be great.

Have you seen him play? He looks good at times, but other times he looks lost and hopeless. He's been good for at least one loss per year all by himself. I hope that game is next week

I know MSU is pretty bad, but isn't this sort of an odd thing to post the day after we hold an SEC opponent to 3 points?

The guys up front did a great job stopping the run all game. In the 2nd half Tennessee's D totally dominated. It was not just the secondary. They were getting penetration and rushing or sacking the quarterback. Their QB made a bunch of defenders miss or it would have been even worse for MSU. I really don't get the fire Chavis talk. The defense played very well.
