The ref that ran in and stopped our trick play, he went to high school in Birmingham Alabama. His name is Ryan Hagan. I know cause I played against him in high school football and wrestling. He is an Alabama fan. Having him as a part of the officiating crew for an Alabama game should not have happened. Piss poor officiating from the SEC and to benefit alabama as usual.

I believe there is a rule that you cant officiate a game where you went to school so how do you propose they vet each official?

The on air ref segments are the dumbest thing going in football broadcasting. The imbeciles are a brotherhood, they never turn on another one.

Could not agree with you more. What’s the point of having some random “rules expert” sitting somewhere watching the game from the same vantage point the rest of us are? We don’t really need his opinion - we’re watching for ourselves

Ranting and raving? Being curious about a bizarre play stoppage at the moment we lined up in a new formation is not that.
Its in the past time to move on. Did it suck? Sure..but let's not get all stalk an ex on facebook in here and dwell on it.

It is for the casual football fan that do but know the rules like the door hard fan. It also keeps their commentators clean, meaning the opinion is not their so the viewers always like them.
