I wish Simmons had lived up to the glamour shots with the chains when he committed.Random observations:
- Josephs, Pearce, and McCoy graded as good as they looked
- surprised ONL did not grade higher
- I was expecting a little more from our LBs this year
- good to see Simmons go out with a pretty good season

who said he was a liability? I said no one mentioned his PFF score was very low. If it was someone else people would be all over it. It is something noteworthy and interesting. I wish i had a PFF account to dig more into it but if I were to guess it was pass coverage that hurt him. Boo was very good at star for us but people are hyping the kid like he's the next Eric Berry and that's very unfair to him.Boo was a stud and looked amazing IMO. Acting like the guy was a liability is laughable
He moves different from everyone else back there. You can even see it in his back pedal drills, he’s not Eric Berry but he’s a future NFL player. The kid defeated the odds, he played a major role as a true Frosh under Josh Heupelwho said he was a liability? I said no one mentioned his PFF score was very low. The kid ran like he had tennis rackets tied to his cleats, we’ll be ok. If Spillman never got hurt he would’ve never played as much, soon as Spillman was good to go Smith reps dropped immediately. Which I’m sure played a major role in him leaving. That was why I was saying the biggest hits we took in the portal were Jenkins and Smith. Smith was the main backup at both LB positions and was the 'coverage' backer.
Yea, depth in the future will be you’re 4/5 star starter backed up by a hot shot freshman/RS freshman guy…all the solid backup guys will portal out if they aren’t starting or getting enough NIL moneyThat was why I was saying the biggest hits we took in the portal were Jenkins and Smith.
