In return, you guys in Memphis was supposed to name our NBA team, the "Tennessee Grizzles".

Well since the Titans played in Memphis in the beginning, I guess they couldn't call them the Nashville Titans.

Plus, for alliteration purposes Tennessee Titans just makes more sense.

Nashville already has the Predators. Memphis needed something that had their name on it.
