Peyton Manning’s Son Marshall Stirs Quarterback Buzz In New Video

The way Cooper’s condition ended his playing career, I don’t blame Arch for trying to get paid as much as possible in college.
It has nothing to do with the money. You must have missed the interview where Archie Manning said Arch wasn't going anywhere. That was when Arch was being projected as the #1 pick in the 2026 draft.

I think I did miss that interview. Why was he wholeheartedly committed to college?

Because he's a Manning. The family instills in its kids the importance of having the full college experience. It's the same reason Peyton and Eli didn't leave early.

We need to go ahead and put $20MM in a high-interest bearing account in his name. It's all his if he pans out and signs with us. If not, we transfer it to the top QB in his class under the same conditions.

I can’t imagine him going to Tennessee. He will have enormous pressure on him and if he was a Vol it would be magnified 10 fold.
He is a Manning so there will be an enormous amount of pressure no matter where he goes. Arch didn’t go to UT or OM and dude is probably the face of college football this year.

He won't come, it seems to be their thing "to not go where a Manning has gone before"

Well, he IS wearing #16 so he is not exactly carving out his own legacy.

2030 is a LONG way away. JH might not even be here.

But, will he want to go somewhere and try and break his old man' records? That would show serious cajones and competitiveness.

OR, will he want to do like all the other Mannings and go somewhere new. 18 year olds are difficult to judge in that respect. Look at Arch. No matter where he is, it will be a pressure cooker so being a Vol probably doesn't realistically change much with that.

We shall see.... time reveals all...

Marshall has said Josh Allen was his favorite QB. Maybe he'll follow him to JUCO or Wyoming.

I do wonder what Peyton would think if he wore #17 as he did when he was younger?

I was thinking about this the other day, there are still a lot of things that Marshall could do that Peyton never did if he comes here. Beat Florida, bring us our first Heisman? Peyton’s passing records are not untouchable (pretty damn hard, but not untouchable), and win a national title.

Even before what they did to Ole Miss the Mannings HAAAATTTTED Kiffin. Pretty sure Arch never spoke with Ole Miss
No, they were in his final 5. He was there for Eli’s jersey retirement before the LSU game in 2021 (Kiffin’s 2nd year at Ole Miss) and Ole Miss was among the five programs he visited before committing to a school. (He also made unofficial visits there - as he did his other final 5 schools - during the prior summer in 2021.)

LSU will likely have $10 Million/yr account set up set up in November this year

Young Marshall has been fed a steady diet of Rocky Top his entire life. I would not sell UT short when it’s his time, How do you see that T form and the Vols running through it, knowing your father did as well and that sort of stuff runs deep.

Ok, he still won't come.
Thats your opinion. I imagine he is keeping all his options open. I think the Vols will be contenders and I certainly don’t think Marshall would shy away from the pressure. But I believe it will be entirely Marshall’s decision. Peyton will not influence his decision just like Archie didn’t influence Peytons. GBO

I don't get all the talking down about coming here. If he can play and reaches senior year wanting to come to Tennessee, then hell, come to Tennessee. What pressure would he feel from the fans? As long as he's competent and can battle for the starting job, who would get on his case? And if he's good, why on Earth would you want him going somewhere else anyway?
That’s just what posters do.it blows my mind. They want everyone to go somewhere else and everyone to go pro or transfer. It’s like they’re so scared of being disappointed they prepare for it by speaking on it ahead of time. Just weak minded folks. Too scared and damaged to have hope.

I believe he will be a Freshman this fall at Baylor. Out of curiosity, anyone close to the program know where he projects on the depth chart?
