Peyton Manning’s Son Marshall Stirs Quarterback Buzz In New Video

That was the point of my post above - the likely hood of any current coaching staff from this year being intact in 2030, is very, very small.
Revisit in 2 years and we can start talking about this seriously.
I disagree. Head coaches tend to live in swanky, expensive hoods. I bet they'll all be intact in 2030.

I doubt he will have much pressure on him if he came to Tennessee..If he does come and has a problem with pressure because of his Dad then he is not the player we are anyone else needs on their team. I believe he has enough of his Dad's genes to play with confidence and conviction. Pressure is a sin of lack of confidence and a I am certain he has and will have an abundance of confidence.
The laughable part is the idea that Marshall would be under any less pressure if he goes somewhere other than Tennessee. Arch still has tons of pressure at Texas, and he's the son of Cooper, not Peyton. There is no avoiding the pressure of the last name. Luckily, the family seems to do a solid job of preparing its kids to deal with pressure and just be their own person.

...and for those that say he'll never come to UT, Eli went to Ole Miss.

He's going to have pressure no matter where he goes. That said as far as TN I think the next couple of years we'll be crucial. If we're not making the CFP regularly I think he'll look else where also CJH is going to keep working towards getting rid of the gimmick offense talk. He's a Manning so it may not hurt his stock much but he needs to get some QB's in the 1st round draft convo

I hope the young man goes on to have a stellar career wherever he winds up in college. I can’t imagine the pressure he will have on him.
Absolutely agree with this post. What an unbelievably wonderful family. Just elated to have been associated in some way.

I think we may need to see his tape before we look at anything. The Manning's last name carries a lot of weight, but, football in general at both the college and pro level are shifting towards mobile qbs, if Marshall has Peyton's legs I don't think he will be a great fit for Heupel's offense. Doesn't matter how accurate he is, if he's a statue then his footwork which is a major part of Heupel's offense will be pretty bad, and these D-Lineman are much more athletic than they were in the 90s

The Manning family quarterback tree continues to spread.

Peyton Manning’s son has put in a claim to be the actual heir to his father’s throne, while garnering attention for his performance during a 7-on-7 football event in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

My only real thought, other than I hope Peyton's son becomes a Vol, is that I'm old.

Marshall will be playing football at the University of Pennsylvania, the top program in the nation in 2030 due to incredible NIL contributions generated by asteroid mining by robots built and transported by companies owned by Penn alum Elon Musk.

The school also voted to change the team name from the Quakers to the X.

If I were advising him, you just can’t go play somewhere that your dad’s name is on the locker room tunnel leading on to the field.

I’d tell him to go to Duke or somewhere without the pressure and spotlight.
Or if he truly ends up looking Heisman good, then I’d give Ole Miss a serious look- his grandfather would love it.
Yeah don't go where your dad's name is, but instead your legendary grandfather and uncle played... That makes sense. Also he could go to Appalachian State and would still have immense pressure wherever he goes. Arch has the pressure and he's just the nephew/grandson, not son/nephew/grandson. Every fanbase is going to have intense expectations for him, not just ours.

You can bet the fact that he grew up going and watching us play as a fan will carry mJoe weight in a decision. Not saying it's a lock, but we have to be at the top of his list imo.

I can’t imagine him going to Tennessee. He will have enormous pressure on him and if he was a Vol it would be magnified 10 fold.
Not sure if it would matter. He'll probably be here one year and then go to the pros. Maybe his dad can donate to the nil for him

Interesting thought. I'm not sure about the IRS "cash gifts to family members" rules but using NIL earmarked to Marshall and his daughter in college might be a piece of an estate planning move for Peyton.

While I'm doubtful Peyton wants to make his kids too rich too young, like Arch it's probably just inevitable for Marshall.

Nah. Not Duke. He'll forge his own path, but it will be a big name program. I'm going with UGA or Ohio St. for Peyton's boy.

The Manning’s played for Cutcliff. Lucky for everyone else, he’s retired.

Friend and I were talking about this last night and he says' "Wouldn't it be something if Marshall sheds the lineage and goes to school to be a doctor or lawyer or some such."...boy that kicked the BVS into high gear...HAHAHA
