If there was a Brady-Manning debate thread the table would be tilted in #18's favor. He wants to play on a competitive team and didn't file a lawsuit during the off season. Like others said he isn't in the poor house either.
You might want to check your facts again, because Peyton did file a lawsuit. QB Tyler Bray is drafted in the 2014 NFL Draft and takes over for Peyton in the 2016 football season to carry the Colts-Vols QB tradition into the 2030's!!!
After Peyton retires he takes over for Jim Chaney as OC of Tennessee, then when Dooley retires in 2021 with three national titles Peyton takes over as TN head coach and Derek Dooley becomes Athletic Director. Peyton then coaches the Vols for 15 years winning 10 SEC Titles and 6 National Championships.
GO VOLS!
Do you all believe Peyton will A.) Make it all the way through this new 5 year deal and B.) retire at that point?
I hope he gets one more SB ring.

Though I love the mystique of playing your whole career on one team and being legend there, I wouldn't have minded Manning shopping himself out to the best possible team. The Colts' window of opportunity is closing up, and I don't think it's because Peyton Manning is 35. Sanders is done. The Colts have no running game. Freeney, Clark, Wayne, Mathis, Brackett, and Saturday are all well into their 30s and that's old if you aren't a QB.
