Basically, our former AD did his best to insult candidates not on his short list, saying that he didn't think they had what it took to succeed in the SEC, and then proceeded to hire Dooley in his next search.

I don't understand why so many of our fans give so little respect to this program. To listen to some here you would think we're Kentucky and the last 85 years was just dumb luck. Kiffin may have treated us like a stepping stone but we're not and if you don't get that you need to read your history books.
If Tennessee wanted either of those coaches and they turned it down it would be because of stupidity on their part.

Nothing to do with sick kids, Scientology, or hurt feelings? The uninformed fans are the ones thinking TN would pull either of these coaches.

You're right. Tennessee just doesn't have the tradition and resources to compete with TCU and Boise State. :crazy:
