Pete Carroll, so cool

I'm sure if USC's rivalry game was against a #1 Alabama or a #4 Florida team, he wouldn't be giving up timeouts.

Just a thought.

I would love to see Orange and crimson on the field next year

Anyone else see this??

How cool would it be if Coach Kiffin called out Bama and said we were gonna wear our Orange in Tuscaloosa and we don't care about losing the timeouts? Or did it in Gainsville next year? I would love to see that kind of swagger coaching the Vols.

ESPN - USC Trojans willing to forfeit time outs to wear home red agaisnt UCLA Bruins

Might be interesting. Something to get the fans and the team excited.
something that has been missing this year.

Me too...That would be so cool...They used to do that back in the old days, They should allow a nastalga "Sp"? day and let both teams wear home colors once a year.

i got a question, it's a little off topic, but i have nowhere else to ask it, during the press conference, clk mentioned that he "took and passed a test", what kind of test was he referring too?

I would be willing to be the paycheck if USC was playing a top 10 team he would be singing a different tune. Hell, UCLA beat them before he may sing a differnt tune by the end of the game!

NCAA recruiting test, you have to pass it before you can recruit. Or something like that.

The NCAA test they have to pass before they can start recruiting.

Hes talking about the NCAA test to recruit. He was required to take it before he could contact recruits. It has been brought up by the Darth Visor that Kiffin broke recruiting rules by contacting recruits without taking the test or being employed by UT. He actually signed the contract on Saturday, So he was good to go!

All rules aside, I think its a very good idea. I think the rule should be that if both schools agree on said uniforms for a certain game, why not allow it? I think the away jersey being white rule, was instated so that it wasn't difficult for players to differentiate each other on the playing field. Meaning if USC played say Alabama, and both wore their crimson jerseys.

On a UT note, such bologna that we had to get approval of our jerseys against UNLV with the orange shoulders. 90% of our jerseys were white, and its not like Orange is one the Rebel's colors. Rules are setup to help, but always have unforeseen consequences, and hard to adapt to the human factor.

I hated that jersey!

Opinions are like butt holes...

I personally liked them. But dear lord lets not start another thread hijack on the orange shoulder jersey's. I think I've read about half a dozen on here before.

Pete Carrol will beat Rick Neuheisel's brains in.
Im predicting 65-14.

if kevin craft was anything but the worst qb in div 1-a ***la woudl have a chance because USC's offense isn't very good and ucla's defense is good. My prediction is 27-3 USC.

Does LSU not still wear the same uniform for home and away games? I seem to recall that happening in the past due to a uniform being so ugly. Does the other school just agree to it before hand and no penalties are issued in that case? I thought Spurrier refused once and made them wear the ugly one. My point is that I don't recall LSU losing any timeouts over it.

The home team has the right to choose which jersey they wear. LSU wears white at home and the overwhelming majority of college teams wear solid colors at home so LSU is wearing white 99% of the time.

The Dallas Cowboys do this as well.
