Tennessee played very well except for those early turnovers. (which could easily just be rust, 1st game jitters, etc...)

I will say this: WKU is really really bad. Like, horribly bad at football. They are small, slow, and just plain inept.

I was going to post a thread giving you my opinion on Tennessee, but the fact is, WKU is so bad, I don't think I can really get a good feel.

I will also say this: they clearly look better and more organized than last year.

My favorite play was the 9 yard TD pass to Quinton Hancock.

Enjoy your Saturday.

They are more organized with intensity......something not seen here in years. You are right about W.Kentucky. UCLA will be the barometer. No matter the score.....a win against UCLA is all that counts.

AFL

Thanks for coming by. The media will do the same with this game that is why it does not matter much nationally. WKU sucks so forget this game. What we see as fans is that our coach was livid about mistakes and is very unhappy to be up 28-0. He demands more.

We also will get lots of attention if we follow up this game by beating UCLA by at least 21 points. If our defense can keep them below 10 points some more people will take us seriously heading to UF.

If Eric Berry has a pick six into Heisman pose in Gainesville and Nu'Keese returns a punt for a touchdown, I might die of happiness. All that said I am anticipating a loss but this new confidence is thrilling me. We also play so many more people. You cannot watch the film at this point and try to key on Stocker, cause Cottam will play well. Our maligned WRs look fine with Q Hancock and Warren and Nuke and Teague and then you realize our best WR is out but back for the UF game.....

OHHHHHHHH BABY it is electric right now everywhere in Vol nation!

Thank you AFL, it's good to know that every Gator fan on here does not come by to run their mouths about Week 3. Thank you for the productive and positive thread

It's true, WKU is very bad, but UT only scored 7 points against Wyoming last year, and only 13 versus Northern Illinois.

Those 2 teams right there are not much better than WKU.

THAT'S how much this team has improved.

No question this staff has gotten 100x more out of our players than the last one. NO QUESTION.

That's just not true. Norther Illinois and Wyoming are solid mid-majors, WKU is just transitioning into Div-IA, they'd get trounced by either NIU or Wyoming.

With that said, WKU would still easily handle the team we're playing tonight in Charleston Southern.

The Thing is, Yes they are bad, but they are better than the CITADEL. or any competetion that Florida plays non-conference. I'd take a 63-7 win over a division 1 team than a 55-14 win over the Citadel or any other FCS team.

Biggest disapointment?

Less than 100,000 for the game. Attendance was attrocious

i didn't really think it was possible, but wku was even worse than i initially thought. they were just pathetically bad today. and to top it off, their playcalling was excruciatingly horrible

They are not SOLID midmajors. They are BAD midmajors.

Plus, do you seriously think this team that played today would've only scored 7 on Wyoming and 13 on Northern Illinois?

Pressure is on the gatas now---They need to put 70+ on CS---since CS is not even D1. :)

UF always starts off with a steady diet of cupcakes before playing us, so we might as well get at least one, for a good scrimmage.

Personally, all that smack talk UF fans have been dishing out this past year...counting their chickens before they're hatched, isn't exactly a smart thing to do. They have no RB's to speak of...no WR's I've heard of...and no Percy Harvin. Couple that with the fact that they have a new OC trying to match wits with a renowned 20+yr NFL DC. They HAVE to be on their A game all season long if they want to go undefeated for the first time in history. Pressures ALL on the Gators to back up those floating checks this offseason.

If you get upset, the fallout is going to get nasty. If we lose, well...we tried and have a 1st yr HC. No shame there. UF loses and it's a whole new level of shame. Prozac sales in Florida will go through the roof. :)

We'll see you in a few weeks. Buh-Bye. :salute:

98,000 or so for the game

In a bad economy they raised ticket prices and ripped out cheap seats to build more luxury boxes. At the end of the year we will have lower attendance than historic no matter how well we play. We will also have higher revenue for the AD.

Nice start for the Vols and I took out of this game what i'll take out of the Gators game tonight...just a glorified scrimmage that you just hope no one gets hurt from.

No, they aren't. WKU is the worst football team in the country.

Enjoy your scrimmage against The Charleston School for the Deaf and Blind. A very embarrassing way for Tebow to show his humanitarianism in my opinion.

How do you know this? Dumb statement. They are not good but they are moving up in divisions because they show the potential. They are definitely not the worst. watch New Mexico St.
