Per Volfan X: 8 players put on notice by Kiffin

Oh my, yes. That way the thirty-nine pages of personal attacks and completely off-topic discussion posted largely by those with posts numbering in the thousands and "gurus" that form the core of what makes up this particular thread would be perfect.

We have worked very hard at posting those thousands of times and yet retaining our ignorance and idiocy.

It was announced today that UT players had agreed to complete uniformity.

All players agreed to shave their heads and receive the same forearm tattoo.

One thing the haircut does it strip away a kid's feeling of individuality. It does, as much as people may not agree with the practice, probably go in some way to molding their mindset into that of a team... not a collection of individuals.

"It is only shallow people who do not judge by appearances"
-Oscar Wilde

OH NO! Oscar Wilde, a homosexual pedophile, judged some of us as shallow. :eek:hmy:

Why? That's stupid imo. Dreads are nastier that "mountain man" hair if we're talking about cleanliness.

Ok I see an education oppourtunity here. People who practice The Rastafarian way mainly choose not to clean their locs. However, people who wear locs for style usually keep them neat and presentable.

Isn't there a difference between dreads and dread locks?

Well the word dreadlocks derived from European form of jargon. They hated to see people ( mainly people of color) coming with their hear locked. This is the origin of the word dreadlocked. However, the political correct word is just locs !

I would say that D-Mo will be gone before too long. Class isn't his best thing, and really neither is coverage. Would be interesting to see him convert to a LB though.

I bet you can't back that up with any proof. There is no way that is the origin of the word "dreadlock" has anything to do with the discrimination of black people. I'd lay down money on it.

They still smell bad usually (I can't say I've gotten a whiff of everyone's hair who has locks) even if they look a lot more presentable and neat.

Ok guys, amidst the ocean of posts pertaining to hair length, I could not find one post that mentioned the actual NAMES of the 8 players in which this thread was originally about. Do we actually know who the players are or is it all just speculation at this point?

I want some of that action also...

In Jamaica the term dreadlocks was first recorded in the 1950s as a term for the "Young Black Faith", an early sect of the Rastafari which began among the marginalized poor of Jamaica in the 1930s, when they ceased to copy the particular hair style of Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia and began to wear dreadlocks instead. It was said that the wearer lived a "dread" life or a life in which he feared God, which gave birth to the modern name 'dreadlocks' for this ancient style.
