He said Kennedy wasn’t responsible for the missed defender (Bigelow), Ryan Johnson was.

Johnson missed his assignment and ran downfield like he was run-blocking.

Not game-changing news, but I felt it was worth mentioning since I already accused my Bama fan friend of planting Kennedy to sabatoge our program.

Well it looked weird like he meant to not block him and when Johnson didn't he thought "oh crap".

That's plausible, but if true, that's a weird play design. JG didn't even take a drop. He just stood up and threw the smoke screen. Seems like it's be hard for the FB to get there in time.

How hard is it to block the guy in front of you? He wasn't the only one that whiffed on a block Richmond whiffed on a couple.

That's nice. Now Pruitt has "good tv show guy" to go with his other accolades. At the end of the day Vols are on the wrong end of a 40-14 nationally televised beatdown. My gawd have we seen enough of these already? 10 guys on defense on multiple occasions. THAT is totally unacceptable. I saw a badly coached, undisciplined football team. A horrific first showing for the new coach. I did not expect...THAT. But...he has a southern accent and talks tough like a real coach so that's good enough for many here. I know none of us are gonna enjoy the insane beatdowns coming our way from Alabama and Georgia...to mention just a couple. I for one am so sick and tired of that. Yesterday gave no indication that that trend is going to end anytime soon...and this new coach provided no evidence he even remotely has the ability to stop it.

While I agree with the sentiment that I really want the blood letting to stop, it’s going to take more than 1 offseason to fix this program. I do not believe for 1 second he purposely coached our guys to miss blocks, get blocked, be slow pressuring the qb, and never get their head around to make a play on the ball. Looked more like some really bad habits to me.

It was telling as the game went on Kennedy flat axx whooped Bigelow when early on it appeared to be the reverse. If Bigelow truly was a 5 star type player that transfered in to WVU, Kennedy is not the problem on our OL.

Well, that’s a really bad blocking scheme since #40 looked to be right in front of Kennedy. Not sure how a guard is supposed to get him on such a quick route.

It's not often a game starts off as bad as our did, has a happen ending...We did not change the trend.

Whatever the cause of the missed block was, it was a terrible first play call in my opinion. Why choose a bubble screen as the first play to kick off your "era" when you preach a return to "Tennessee football"?

If you're wanting to trick the defense, then play-action the first play.

No he isn't a good show guy at all. Anyone could tell by the bouncing up and down of his leg he didn't want to be there . The **** you look on his face said alot too.
Guy ,I enjoyed the show because he acted like he gave a ****. I've been tired of the other coaches the past years sitting there smiling the whole show after we got beat down . He was pissed and it showed . I enjoyed the break down of the game showing how the issues can be fixed. Alot of things to me are habit breaking issues. Hopefully the players can get rid of those OR bench them and free up some schollys for the off season by telling them to transfer. Watched the game several times and we've gotta get the sack when it's there,gotta tackle behind the line when it's there. Hopefully will be alot better come Florida. Frankly I think several guys will be replaced on that defense and soon...
