Interesting. My wife makes the best pecan pie in the world. You can pick it up and eat it like a piece of "real" pizza if you want, and it's not a bit dry.
I will mention this to her. I've never thought about it.

One of my favorite NC bbq restaurants has pecan cobbler on the dessert menu. I've had it.
