Pearl rips NCAA early exit rules.

Can somebody explain the reasoning that a university is punished if a student athlete decides to leave (not flunk out)?

He's cryin about the rules. He doesn't think he should get penalized if an ineligible athlete leaves by his own choice. Well, don't recruit kids with grade trouble. He knew 100% that Ramar had poor grades when he recruited him.

Pearl said he supports the intent of the rules but worries that schools are being unfairly punished when players leave on their own or transfer to other schools after being dismissed for disciplinary reasons.

What part of that mentions academics?

Essentially what I've heard Pearl say is:

Why punish a school for taking appropriate disciplinary actions via the APR if they are in good academic standing when they leave/transfer/get kicked off/etc?

They both were eligible. Reading is power.

ehh, recruit kids that have brains, Pearl.

Is your avatar supposed to be some kind of ironic reminder that we DO NOT care about brains? Your avatar is of a freaking AMATEUR RAPPER / JUNIOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYER.

If those two things don't spell "RETARD" then I don't know what does.

Ramar left in good academic standing, try again.

Judging someone by their music taste and their initial academic choices spells "Retard" or "Bigot" far better than anything Maze has done.

there's truth to every stereotype. You're clearly in the market to argue more than accept reasonable negotiation.

If you want to argue about theoretics go back to college. This ain't no philosophy class. Perception is reality in the real world.

PLUS, my response has nothing to do with you. What ax do you have to grind? Or are you just here to dispute anything/anytime/anywhere?

I generally come here to debate sports with reasonable, decent people. Occasionally, I have to deal with the likes of you.

I hate that "perception is reality" crap that gets repeated so often in an attempt to make it true. Perception is not always reality. Only a fool would think so.
