Some of you probably heard last night that Bruce Pearl was pretty hyped about the Lady Vols game versus Duke this coming Monday. Apparently he wasn't too happy with the way our fans were treated there last year and was begging for a big turn out. He was talking about showing up at the game and sittng in the student section with no shirt and his chest painted orange. :dance2:

You know Hamilton is probably not thrilled with the idea and today on Hooker's show Pearl sounded like he was backing up just a bit.

So, you think he will follow through?

On Vol Calls, he joked that Pat should do the same for big Men's games, and he made the remark that he would pay to see that.:lolabove:

I heard that too. I think she actuall said, "don't expect me to do the same for men's games". :rock:

I sure hope not. There is a distinct difference between being enthusiastic and coming across as an attention seeking nutjob. I hope Bruce comes to his senses. He is too good for silly stunts like that.

On the Sports Talk this afternoon Mike Hamilton mentioned it and he really didn't seem like he cared if BP did it.

of course he didn't care!!! At this point Hamilton worships Pearl and he should. Heck Bruce can do watever he wants he isn't going anywhere.

People already think hes a nutjob. I say go for it, who cares what the media thinks, its the players that matter and I know id pay attention if the guy who recruited me cared that much about the school. I really hope he does it. Even ill go if he does.

that would be awesome! Could you imagine how many time they would cut to him during timeouts? or even during the game. that would be talked about for a long time

maybe he'll get so obnoxious he'll get kicked out of the arena.

Its not like the guy is Coach K or Bobby Knight. I don't think his rep would take as big of a hit as one would think

I wouldn't be surprised if he really does do it. BP has put his whole heart and soul into this program and university and if he thinks it will get the program more publicity and more people to watch the Vols I think that he will do it.

He said he would do it if they win their next two games. That said, somebody get the orange paint out becasue someone's painting a power T on the Pearl.

No ones mentioned it so I will...How bout Bruce and Phil in the student section, Bellys showing Phil could be the U and Bruce could be the T.

What a Hoot you are Bruce of Pearl.
