Controversial take, sure to ruffle some feathers, but statistically Pavia’s current 2025 season is on track to surpass Hooker’s 2022 Heisman campaign. I know I was surprised too.

Pavia (through 11 games)
224/312
71.8 comp percentage
2,924 yards
26 tds
6 ints
SOS #2

Hooker (11 games - injured vs sc)
229/329
69.6 comp percentage
3,135 yards
27 tds
2 ints
SOS #27

What say you?

Yeah I don’t care. Give me a prime Hendog in this offense and I take him 1,000 times over Diego.

Plus Hendon was actually a good and humble guy. I get that Pavia is kinda like Terrell Owens back in the day, good to have on your team but otherwise you can’t stand him, but he’s not on our team so I’m in the latter.

No. I'm not sure who complied the SOS numbers but Pavia's best wins are at home over unranked 7-4 LSU and unranked 7-4 Missouri. Hooker had wins @LSU(#16 final AP/SEC West Champ), Alabama(#5 Final AP), @Pitt(#22 Final AP). Hooker's losses were @ #1 NC Georgia and @ SC(#23 final AP). Pavia's are at current #17 Texas and at current #10 Alabama.

Pavia has a 2 percent higher completion rate on 12 fewer pass attempts...

BUT, Hooker had 200 more yds, 1 more TD, and 4 less interceptions.

Give me HH all day, every day.

FWIW - Hendon would habe got an invite to NY had he not got injured and MAY have actually won...hate to say it, but because of the media love and exposure, Pavia will get an invite.

Hooker not exceeding in the pass happy NFL is one of the most puzzling things I've seen. I thought he would light it up. The few times I saw him play in the NFL he didn't look comfortable at all

Two different types of quarterbacks. SOS is very suspect. Hooker did not play all of SC and did not play against Vandy where he would have more than likely padded his stats considerably.

Any person who can stand in front of the world and suggest they are the "best" ANYTHING is highly suspect, full of insecurities. They are never as good as they "think"...
I don't think HE even believes what he's saying, he just saying it.
It's like being around people who talk ALL the time but never say anything.
Vols by 17 after Pavia's 2 interceptions

Agree - Don't remember that talk from Hooker or Manning or Dobbs. And very few Heisman winners or attendees talk like that.

I do think he probably gets asked the question - but most serious contenders typically deflect the question and take the conversation back to their team and winning games. Because they know you don't win the Heisman without the help of your team.

I just hear too much "me" talk with him.

And he may get invited to the Heisman's due to his story. But we all know too well that the award is not based on stats or the best player. It is all political.
Yeah the 2022 heisman class was loaded. I think Caleb Williams had like 500 pass attempts 4500 + pass yards 42tds. Hooker probably would have leap frogged Bennett if he finished the season and put up big numbers against Vandy. Unfortunately usc cheat had all of our signals and knew our plays somehow connected to Harbaugh and the whole Michigan scandal that year.

It’s up to the 2025 Vols defense to contain this debate. I hope Pavia has the worst game of his career tomorrow.
